CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: LONELINESS
We at strange things? Collective were so excited to announce our latest call for submissions on World Mental Health Day last week.
This publication will form part of Washington Mind's latest youth-led project on loneliness. We have worked in partnership with their Young People's Project for the last two years, encouraging the use of creativity as a tool for positive emotional wellbeing, through the workshops we run and DIY publications we produce. We are very proudly based in Tyne & Wear, and understand loneliness is a worrying issue for people of all ages in our area.
We are looking for poetry, artwork, personal essays, short stories, photography, any creative work you produce in response to the theme of loneliness, whatever that means to you.
All submissions (and any questions/enquiries) should be sent to email@example.com
The deadline for submissions is Friday November 1st. The publication will be officially launched on Friday December 6th, when we will be having our loosely Christmas-themed launch party in Sunderland city centre to celebrate.
This will be our third publication and biggest project yet. If you'd like to get a feel for what our work looks like, you can read our first issue Progress here.
